Hermès Diabolo

Hermes

If you’re in the market for a card holder that makes all the right first impressions, look no further than Hermès’ Diabolo for that perfect pedigree. Measuring approximately 10 cm by 6 cm (or just the size for credit or name cards), it’s the one you whip out at that important business meeting or the one you use to keep your Centuarian safe. The choice is yours really.

Priced at SGD620 a piece in Singapore, the Diabolo comes in a variety of Hermès leathers like Epsom calfskin and Mysore goatskin in many different colours (you can even get the one in Noir just to match the aforementioned Centuarian), here comes the bad news. Because of its sleek thin design, you can only store up to 2 credit cards in each Diabolo, or up to 8 name cards, depending on the thickness of each card. But since we’re all about making that good first impression, it shouldn’t really matter, right?

Hermès Harnais

Hermes

IMAGE: HERMÈS

Do a double, no, a triple take on the Harnais, and you can see why its silhouette is befitting of a true blue Hermès bag, its saddle-like shape referencing the very thing the leather house was originally famed for – horse saddles and equestrian accessories. And while the Hermès of today is better known for luxurious leather goods that might have little to do with its founding years – at least now we have the Harnais to thank for reminding us of the French luxury house’s heritage.

With the front looking like a horse saddle (that’s also where the front flap is) in gorgeous smooth Swift leather, turn the bag to its side and you’ll see a pair of leather straps, reminiscent of billet straps found on horse saddles, that make their way around the base of the bag, connecting to adjustable shoulder straps on either side.

And while the flap is in Swift leather, the body is all Epsom leather, giving the bag great structure and the ability to resist light scratches and nicks. On the inside you’ll find two flat pockets that are sufficient for a good day out, and depending on what you require, you can wear the bag long or short with its rounded shaped made for sitting snuggly under the shoulder.

Available in a single size (25 cm by 20 cm), this beauty is priced atSGD13,100, which could also be the reason why not many out there are willing to take that jump. But far from being just another Hermès bag, theHarnais is one that harnesses (no pun intended) the history of the storied French house, and one that is perfect for the lady that’s looking for something that will be relevant and stylish in the many years to come.

Hermès’s classic Heure H watch gets a sleek and stylish update

Hermes

Hermès’ first launched their Heure H watch back in 1996. A decade later, the house best known for their leather goods is introducing the classic timepiece to a whole new generation of watch lovers. The watch is set apart from others by its distinctive case which is crafted to resemble the letter H, and the new version retains that signature but improves upon it by giving the case a glossy coat of black or white lacquer.

You can choose from two case sizes: small (21mm x 21mm) and medium (26mm x 26mm) and an array of brightly colored leather straps.

Each watch sports a white or black varnished dial which has also been given a transparent lacquer coating.

The watches use an AR coated sapphire crystal on the front and are water resistant to 30 meters (just the case).

The collection features 8 strap colors in two lengths: single tours which are the straps you are probably most used to, and double tour straps which wrap around your wrist twice. The watches are powered by Quartz movements and can be purchased at Hermès boutiques.

HERMES FACO II BAG

Hermes

Hermes-Faco-II-Bag

The Hermes Faco Bag hasn’t been on the spotlight very much, so you might not have heard a lot about it. This bag is overwhelmingly chic with an envelope-shaped flap. There is a clutch version as well as a shoulder bag edition. The shoulder bag edition is designed with a leather strap and carries like an evening bag with strap. For the Fall Winter 2017 Collection, Hermes introduces the Faco II Bag, which is an updated version.

The Design
The Faco II is a minimalistic and chic handbag – making it perfect for any occasions. The front is crafted with a fold-in flap closure and is made in full leather. This bag has a classic look and can be worn on casual days, for work or even in special occasions. The most beautiful part is that there is no label saying: ‘I’m made in Hermes’. But you can tell by the craftsmanship and the impeccable Mysore goatskin leather that it’s not an ordinary handbag. The boxy shape is gorgeous too and it comes with a long leather strap for shoulder carry.

The exterior looks very similar to the original Faco Bag but the biggest difference is the feel. Faco I is more flexible, softer, slouchier, Faco II is stiffer and holds better shape.

The interior

The interior design is also slightly different than the original Faco Bag. For example, the top is made with a V form.

The inside of this Faco II Bag is made with one large compartment for all your daily essentials. And there is also a built-in back pocket for those that need to store essentials within hand-grasp.

The Prices And Sizes
Measuring 24 x 20 x 3 (L x H x D) cm, priced at $5500 USD via Hermes boutiques.
